How to become a member of our cLUB

Club membership is open to all ages and trials classes. As of 2017 it costs $18 a year to be a member of Western Districts Trials Club, or $30 for a family. You also need an MA licence (details below).

Membership falls due as at the date of our signup day at the beginning of each year.

Two ways to join our club

The first option? Come along to our club signup day held in early February each year. Check our Facebook page here for the date and location, or our Coming Events page. Directions to our properties for any event are posted here.

The other way to become a member is to download the membership form Word here .  Print the form out, complete the details, then send it to our Treasurer along with a cheque or bank transfer (details on membership form) to this address:

Mark Keenan
59 Bernecker St
Carina Qld 4152

How to obtain an MA licence

To attend any of our events, you also need an MA licence from Motorcycling Queensland. This provides the necessary insurance at all of our events. You are also covered by a comprehensive insurance policy against permanent disablement or death, as well as many other benefits. The application forms can be found here:

The MA licence will cost $130 a year for a recreational licence, or $235 a year for Senior National Restricted Licence. The recreational licence allows you to still enter club competitions and be scored on each section but your score won't be entered into the competition scores.

Costs for junior riders (under 16) is $140 for a Junior Restricted National Licence.

Day licences are available also for most competitions at a cost of $75 for a competition licence and $30 for a non-competition licence. This is good if you want to try the sport without committing to the cost of a full licence.

What's the next step?

Read our page about entering a trials event. It tells you where to find the upcoming trials events, how to prepare your bike for them and what happens on the day. You'll have a ball!
